“Grand Theft Auto V” may be the most hotly anticipated title for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 even though Rockstar hasn’t confirmed anything.
But well-known gaming industry insider, Ahsan Rasheed–also known as Thuway–gave an interview about the possibilities of the game coming to the PC and next-generation consoles. He said that Rockstar is going to bring the game to other platforms.
Rasheed has had some success in the past with some of the leaked information that he’s posted.
According to Gamepur, he said that regarding “GTA V” for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4, “Rockstar still wants to make Agent but I have no idea if its in development. It’s founders ‘Dreamgame’ – GTA5 PC/NextGen are also coming,” according to Gamepur.
He didn’t offer any more context than that, and he did not disclose the source of his information. “Agent” is another game that Rockstar North is currently developing.
“Direct from source, Not everything will be at E3, things aren’t ready, some ink is still fresh. Give it time. You will buy an X1,” he said, referring to the Xbox One and E3–the year’s largest gaming conference in the summer.
There’s been a number of rumors about “GTA V” coming to other platforms. A few of the dates listed by retailers have already passed, however.
Last week, the petition to bring “GTA V” to the PC got more than 700,00 signatures, and it still needs another 300,000 to meet the limit. The petition was started about a year ago.
As Gamespot notes, it’s been more than 230 days since “GTA V” was released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, while it took only 217 days for Rockstar to port “GTA IV” to the PC back in 2008.
